Early music concert series in the Josefstadt in Vienna
Since the 2011/12 season, Affinità has also been the protagonist of a series of extraordinary concerts.
As part of this series, called “Affinità im Achten“, the ensemble performs regularly in a creative workshop situated in Vienna’s 8th district (Kreativwerkstatt im 8en), a space offering an unconventional format in which to play baroque chamber music: carefully developed chamber music evenings take place in a modern and purist atmosphere with the audience in the foreground, allowing them to experience up close the enthusiastic cooperation of internationally renowned musicians.
With “Affinità im Achten”, the ensemble enriches the 8th district of Vienna’s cultural offering and, as a result, regularly receives grants from its commission for culture, as well as being is supported by various sponsors and Friends of all.
